TechOlympics 2024 Registration is Now Open!

According to Pardis Technology Park’s Public Relations, the press conference for the first edition of the TechOlympics event was held this morning, Monday, July 8th, at the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy.

The Philosophy Behind the TechOlympics

Dr. Rouhollah Dehqani Firouzabadi, the Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, announced during the press conference that the primary goal of the TechOlympics is to identify talents and make the best use of them. He stated, "Every year, various competitions in cutting-edge technology fields are held worldwide to identify talents and put them to good use." He also emphasized the importance of technological development as a key policy for economic growth in countries, adding, "The development of technology requires the development of specialized human capital, and the real competition between countries is in retaining and attracting these specialists."

Objectives of the TechOlympics

Dr. Haghjou, Head of the Strategic Technology Center at the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, elaborated on the event’s goals: "The TechOlympics is a platform to identify and enhance expertise, as well as to make the most of top talents in various technology fields." He mentioned the competition's structure, stating, "The contests will be held in five main disciplines with global standards. Our objectives include identifying talents, enhancing expertise, utilizing top talents, and promoting teamwork and collaboration."

Structure and Main Sections of the TechOlympics

The TechOlympics includes competitive sections, specialized bootcamps, a job and employment station, and specialized stages. Engineer Safarinia, Director of Pardis Technology Park, said during the press conference: “Since its establishment, Pardis Technology Park has strived not only to provide services to its members but also to identify and address national needs.” He emphasized the importance of the TechOlympics in discovering and utilizing tech talent and added, “This event provides a standard platform for identifying top technology talents in the country.” He further noted that the final in-person phase of the TechOlympics will take place from October 22 to 28, 2024, at Pardis Technology Park. It is expected that over 200 participants in each league (from a total of more than 17 leagues across various technical fields) will be invited for in-person competition, bringing the total to over 2,000 participants.

Programming competitions will include leagues such as Algorithm, JAVA, PHP, and Front-end. The Artificial Intelligence competition will feature leagues in Text Processing, Data Processing, and Image Processing. The Robotics competition will include leagues for Autonomous Vehicles, Sports Robots, Rescue Robots, Combat Robots, and Flying Robots.

Additionally, the TechOlympics will feature Drone competitions, including Speed Drones and Indoor Drones, as well as Cybersecurity competitions like Red Team and Blue Team leagues in Cryptography, Digital Forensics, Penetration Testing, Exploits, and Reverse Engineering, alongside a CTF league.

Registration and Event Details

Registration for the TechOlympics event began on July 8, 2024. Interested participants can register through the official website at www.olympics.tech. The competitions will be held in multiple phases, and winners of the preliminary rounds will be invited to Pardis Technology Park for in-person competition from October 22 to 28.
